Ok so this ts technically the second article I have written on making Mad Max with Starfinder, but both of them were in draft and I was just using the core rules until today.
Below is the Police Cruiser from the core rules that I was hacking to better represent a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe. No autopilot, no autodisabler, no flight mode.

The mech system is not designed for this, none of the transports are small enough, the Phantom Recon unit is kind of close though. Let’s just start at tier 5 since that’s where the the police cruiser kind of was anyway.

No arms, no legs, just for giggles we’ll buy a Dynamo Mk1 power core which is 5mp (17.5 total) add a haste circuit which we can call the supercharger like in the movie.
REINFORCED FRAME
Effect Increase the mech frame’s base HP by 5, and increase its HP advancement by 1. 15 base hp and 8 adv.
Cost 1 × tier = 5 (22.5mp total)
We’ve seen spiked cars, axle blades, buzzblades, flame throwers (guitar and otherwise), plow plating on the war rig.
If we go to the Jason Statham Death Race movies we get machine guns and gatling guns, shields (the Tombstone), Rocket Launchers on Tyreese’s truck, nitrous tanks, plow plating on the dreadnought.

GATLING GUN
This rotating deliverer of death sports a half-dozen long barrels that fire high caliber rounds faster than the eye can see.

Damage 3d8+5 P; Critical —

Cost 3 × level = 15mp (37.5mp)
SPIKED SHIELD (Tombstone)
This heavy shield can block incoming attacks or tear into close-up enemies.
Type melee; Special analog, block
Damage 3d6+5 B or P; Critical bleed
Slots 2 (upper limb)
Deflect As a move action, the mech positions its shield to intercept incoming attacks, granting the mech a +1 shield bonus to AC and to Reflex saving throws until the beginning of its next turn. While this effect is active and the mech takes damage from a weapon, the mech can use a reaction to double its hardness against that attack’s damage.
Cost 2.5 × level = 12.5 (50mp)
FLAMETHROWER
This rotating nozzle spews gouts of bone-melting flame from a fuel pack installed deep inside a mech. Each time the mech makes an attack with the flamethrower, the weapon gains either the line weapon special property and a range of 100 feet or it gains the blast weapon special property and a range of 60 feet.
