How to create permalinks for social media posts
When you’re trying to promote something to social media, you’ll need something called a permalink to your original post.
On Facebook, go to your post, click on the Timestamp for the post. That will bring you to the Permalink for the post. You can copy that URL or everything to the left of the question mark. You can use that URL for all of your social media promotions.

In Twitter you’ll need to click on the share icon to the right of the heart. Select “copy link to tweet” and that should put the link in your clipboard. You can use that URL for all of your social media promotions.

On the Twitter website the share icon looks like an arrow point straight up out of a box, on your phone the share icon may look like the less than sign.
Other considerations: Many Facebook groups only allow one promotional post per week. While you might be a member of many groups and decide to share your original post to all of the relevant groups. Due to the Facebook algorithm you’ll probably get the most views and engagement from a post with some likes and comments from other users. If you want to do any additional promotional activities (comment and engage users) focus on just one of these promotional posts, the math says you should focus on the group with the largest number of members. If you have any way of knowing, you may choose the most active group instead.
